Ditching Plastic & Going Green this Christmas

Christmas can be a very wasteful time of year, finding ways to cut down on plastic can make a big impact. Here we have a couple of ways you’ll be able to easily change your plastic consumption over the holiday period. 

1. Switch to gummed paper tape or washi tape instead of plastic “sticky tape”. We use printed Daily Peach gummed paper tape on all our shipped orders. Read a little more about how we pack our orders here 
   
   
2. Use natural tree decor. Dried orange garlands, paper stars and popcorn strings are all classics for a reason! Biodegradable and beautiful, and the oranges give off a lovely fragrance while being dried in the oven or air fryer.
   
   
3. Shop local. Shipping distances and international production contribute to greenhouse gasses. By supporting local production, you’re also contributing to South Africans earning fair wages and supporting local businesses.
